Information for other state users

The program "Highway Manager Pro" (HMP), was written following the guidelines set forth by South Dakota Legislative Audit. While the program was written to follow SD guidelines, it adapts well for out of state users. The only thing that changes are the "Function Codes" and "Object Codes", entering the corresponding function and object codes for your state.

Below, please see the images of where you would work with object and function codes.

Function codes describe what work (or type of work) the employee is doing.

Object codes breaks it down further by giving more information about the entry and ties the entry to the appropriate line item that expenses pulls from.

IE - 412 Function Code says the operator is blading a gravel road, while a 116 Object Code says the employee is paid hourly and is paid out of the 411 Salary Auditor Line Item.
